Drake's typical means of destressing from the world as a whole was to chug some caffeine, tune the world to being on the outside of his headphones, and play some video games. Unfortunately, that was no longer the case. While Roan had the luxury of keeping all his electronic entertainment in his hat, Drake's gaming PC had been one of many casualties of the Brood attack.

It would, eventually, be one of many reasons he'd be getting revenge the next time he encountered them. Drake wasn't the violent type towards most living creatures, but the Brood had made it clear they wanted to be the exception. They tried to abduct his brother, they blew up his computer, they hurt his friends... oh yeah, the Brood were going to pay. They were going to pay dearly. He wanted them to feel fear, not just simply die.

Even more unfortunately, the one remaining source of recreation he had was back in the mansion's basement. So as far as he was concerned, this was both training and blowing off steam. After sending a message to the other flyers on the team that he was "going for a walk on the roof", he got dressed in some nice nighttime clothes for warmth, and did just that.
Though it was more of a run than a walk, and followed by a jump, followed by focusing on his zoom-box to glide on through the sky. Today was an endurance test, seeing how long he could glide at one time, and pushing it further and further between each landing. One day he'd master true flight... but for now, this was what he had.

And god was it fun. The freedom of flight was what he lived for now. Just one more reason he was jealous of Lockheed.

"Where is the girl!" His voice boomed with an angry shout that was quickly followed by an unceremonious pie face slap. The sort of slap that was disrespectful and aimed to remind the one receiving the pie face that there was not a damn thing that could be done about it. Which of course there was not. Angelo Acevedo was currently hanging upside down. His left foot tangled in a rope ladder that dangled from the undercarriage of the weirdest helicopter thing he had ever seen.

Angelo was a Cartel gang member. Captain, Sargent, middle management, Moon Knight did not know the ranks these cartel guys gave each other. What he did know is scumbags did what this scumbag said to do. Earlier in the night Moon Knight had stumbled across an older woman trying to get her daughter out of the Cartel's clutches. She had paid them some money and was told the price to get her daughter out of servitude had tripled. Four of those guys were currently handing their knocked out gold capped teeth to the ER staff in order to get plates put into their ankles. The fifth guy, Angelo, had been unceremoniously snatched from the street, his leg tangled in that rope ladder.

The Mooncopter was holding in place above a 15 story building. Angelo dangling from the end of that ladder by his leg. Moon Knight hanging on to that ladder, pie facing Angelo again as he bellowed once more. "Where's the girl!" Angela again refused to speak which only drew more of Moon Knight's ire. "Fine." With a tap on his belt, the Mooncopter rose even higher and Moon Knight cut the rope ladder.

Angelo screamed like a dainty debutante. Moon Knight dove after Angelo, drawing his grappling truncheon from his boot, hooking the trailing severed rope ladder around the hook and unfurling his glider cape at the last moment. Moon Knight's fast descent stopped abruptly as he touched down on a roof top. Angelo snapped tight, slapped his face off the side of that twenty foot building and began to sway back and forth. "I'll throw everyone of your homies off the Empire State building if you don't tell me where the girl is!" Moon Knight bellowed as he began to drag Angelo up in a most uncomfortable and unceremonious manner.

Drake could hear the hum of the chopper a bit before he saw it, but only so much. He'd only needed to set his headset to block out the edges of his hearing range, being this high above the city, but there was still a lot of background noise. And that chopper definitely didn't sound normal. It did, however, stand out. As did its owner, what with the white outfit on a dark New York rooftop.

He glided to a jog, then a stop on a nearby rooftop - somewhere he could watch the situation unfold in relative stealth. The shouty man was in a costume that Drake thought looked like Batman with the colors reversed, and he seemed to be acting much the same way. His first instinct was not to get involved. Not with the school out of commission and their temporary home base in the city. This was Spider-man's territory, he didn't know how things worked much outside mutant town. But, not knowing what the situation truly was, and not knowing how to leave well enough alone, Drake gave a sigh. 'Mental note. Get a flowchart of current New York vigilante shenanigans from Parker.' He pushed his headset off and down under his hoodie to secure it, before quickly replacing it with his X-Men combat headset, complete with the visor to hide his eyes.

He hoped he wouldn't regret this. Even though he knew he probably would.
After leaping down to the other side of the roof Moon Knight was dangling his prey off of, he snuck over. Using his sonokinesis to muffle his footsteps, but not going too close. He'd already seen the grapple-gun and glider cape... if this guy was any more Batman than he already seemed, Drake didn't want to end up fighting him.

Stepping into view a dozen or so feet from the edge, Drake called over. "Sup?" He kept his eyes on Moon Knight, ready to get out of the way of anything that might be hurled his way. "Don't mean to interrupt your, uh... interrogation, but how about you pull that guy up and fill me in here? Kinda hoping you're one of the good guys, and not just some psycho dangling people off roofs for funsies." His instinct made him think this guy was here was at least slightly on the north end of the alignment spectrum, but he didn't know for sure. And he didn't want to take chances with a guy who might have a remote controlled attack helicopter.

~You got snuck up on.~ Moon Knight turned and glanced over his shoulders eyeing Noivern from beneath that cowl of his. The face mask of his had tech in the lining that gave his eyes a glowing ominous look to them that Moon Knight used to great effect as he seemingly bored a whole right into your soul from through your very eyes. "It's the parkour guy we passed." Moon Knight replied out loud to the internal musing of the deity in his mind.

Moon Knight shook the section of rope ladder that was wrapped around the banger's foot, smacking him into the side of the building and then hauled him up so he was no long below the ledge, however he was still dangling upside down. "I'm one of the decent enough guys." Moon Knight barked back at Drake, pulling his truncheon club and tapping the thug on the chin with it."I am dangling this piƱata off the roof for funsies." Moon Knight drew that Truncheon back aiming to crack the guy in the chin he had just tapped on but stopped when.

"5th and Lexington. Rancherito motel." Moon Knight let go of Angelo dropping him off the edge of the building and turned to glared at Drake again. "And I am not psycho." If Drake tried to save Angelo, or went to go look, he would see a giant garbage container full of uncrushed boxes and trash that would break Angelo's fall and prevent his death.

"As for fillin you in. These pukes are forcing girls into servitude by smugglin them into the country then forcing them to work off the cost." Moon Knight growled while. "So I'm gonna go serve an eviction notice." Slipping his truncheon back into the holster on his boot, Moon Knight took the time to study Noivern as best he could in the dark of night while the man was hidden behind a hoodie, headset, and visor.

"Don't-" Drake did indeed give into his heroic instinct to save lives, rushing over as fast as he could to try and catch the cable dangling the falling gangbanger. Only to be far too late to do so, getting there just in time to see the man crash into the bin below. But as he saw where the man landed, he calmed back down again. He looked to Moon Knight with a cold glare hidden behind the red plastics of his visor and headset, one that cooled further as he heard the strange vigilante's plan.

As much as he wanted to let the man do his thing - or, more intelligently, call New York's actual resident crime-fighting web-slinger - he couldn't bring himself to walk away. Drake had joined the school because he'd needed the teaching job, but he'd stayed because of the X-Men. Only two things in life ever made him feel the most alive - flying, and saving people. He could never resist the urge to help someone in need, no matter how or why.

"5th and Lexington, Rancherito..." He pulled back his hoodie for the moment to let his blonde hair free, running his scaled hands back through it - a habit he'd always had when he needed to focus and think. It wasn't a long amount of thinking, though. It would be a perfect chance to test out his training and see if it had paid off, and as soon as he realized that he slipped the hood back up. "Look, you seem like the type to work alone, but a place like that probably has you outnumbered 20 to 1. Not odds I'd be able to live with while people's lives might be on the line." He turned away from the edge of the building, before turning his zoombox back onto a low, heavy-bass track. Slightly better for stealth gliding. "Call me 3D. I'll meet you there."

With that, Drake ran away from the white-clad vigilante and glided off the next roof, heading for the tallest building he could find near their target. Moon Knight would surely beat him there, given that a helicopter wasn't bound by the restrictions of needing to play Q-Bert on a scale of Manhattan's skyline, but Drake wouldn't be too far behind. He knew this town at night in a way few else but people like Spider-man and the Iron Fist did. Perhaps just for one night, Mutant Town's former silent protector would be making a reappearance.

~Ah. Mutant. That's how he snuck up on us.~ The thoughts of Moon Knight's patron saint of sorts filled his head as he eye'd Drake. Studying the scaled hands and other features that he could see once the hoodie was pulled back. Even though Moon Knight's face was hidden behind a mask, it was plainly obvious that he was in the process of arching his eye brow as Drake spoke of meeting him at the location and joining the fight given the odds stacked against the Lunar Legionnaire.

"If you're hellbent on making it a fair fight for this jagoffs, then go right ahead and meet me there." Moon Knight said with a bit of a chuckle as Drake sat off to run the city skyline to the no tell motel where the girls were being kept. Moon Knight simply thumbed a button on a device on his belt and climbed the rope ladder that came down from his helicopter and headed off. After a few moments the helicopter sat down on top of a building not to far from the skeevy motel, and the Moon Knight took a few minutes to observe in silence. Relative silence given his cluttered mind before heading down to street level and an alley a block from the motel.

By the time Drake would arrive, Moon Knight was handing a couple homeless people some cash. "Thanks for the info. Go getcha self a hot meal and a place to stay for the night." For the sonokinetic, Moon Knight's voice was definitely different, softer and more pleasant, until he spoke to Noivern that is.

"Not gonna need that walkman thing. It'll be plenty loud where we're goin." He said, walking to the end of the alley and staring at the motel. "19 girls, 30 or so guys. Heavily armed. Sneak up if you want." Moon Knight said, never giving Drake a chance to coordinate a plan. Moon Knight was not the coordinate a plan type anyway as he simply pulled a set of pristine white truncheon from their holsters and strolled out of the alley.

They saw him coming from across the street. By now the guy he had tossed off the building had probably called ahead to warn them of the crazy guy in all white. One guy decided he would end this business quick and dirty by pulling a chrome plated handgun from his waistline and squeezing the trigger. The bullet smacked into Moon Knight's armored vestment. He grunted from the discomfort but simply kept moving forward.

That's when the panic started to set in as Moon Knight continued forward. Another guy deciding to take a shot though never got the chance to. Moon Knight hand flashed out in a swiping motion. A crescent shaped throwing knife rocketed from his hand and sunk deep into the second guys trigger finger.

For a guy in a cape and cowl, Moon Knight's speed was unexpected. Sudden and quick as a hiccup, Moon Knight burst from where he was casually strolling and in a quick second was standing before the two men. His truncheon snapped out in a backhanded strike. Crashing heavily into the guy who shot him. The glint in the available light was silver capped teeth sailing through the air.

The other guy was screaming at the crescent shaped knife jutting from this index finger. Moon Knight shifted his position, retrieving the blade as he moved past the gangbanger. Ending his movement behind the guy and to his side, Moon Knight jammed the blade into the guys hip, grabbed a hand full of hair as the guy began to fall to the ground and accelerated that descent. Introducing that face to the Daily Bugle newspaper machine. "Twenty eight left." Moon Knight grumbled as he strolled through the entry gate and into the parking lot.

Door to various rooms were swinging open as guys stepped out and frighted girls peered from behind the curtains. The no tell motel was the sort of place you would expect. Not a hotel with a concierge and a lobby. But a series of room all with outside entrances. No cameras or bellhops. Just a guy in a corner booth who handed out a key for a few hours and did not ask questions. Moon Knight could see a variety of weapons being readied as he nonchalantly continued his stroll into the parking lot. Under his mask he simply grinned.

Drake dropped down into the alley after parkouring his way down from the roof via the fire escape. The change in Moon Knight's voice wasn't lost on him, not with his hearing, but he had little chance to focus on it and figure out what it meant. Back down at ground level, he had to readjust his headset to tune out some of the background sound of the city. He'd memorized which frequencies to balance out, but it still took a second or two.

Which was, apparently, enough time for Drake to realize just what kind of person he was working with. 'Bullets don't sound like that. Armor? Jeez.' There was a level of cold, measured brutality to Moon Knight's fighting style. One that made Drake's view of the man shift from "reversed color Batman" to being slightly more accurate to a different flavor of grapple-gun wielding crimefighter. 'Oh great. He's not Batman, he's Rorschach with a budget. Awesome.' Still, he couldn't help but respect the man's skills. His dual-truncheon fighting style had heavy similarities to the way Drake fought with his batons, and definitely had more polish. Worth paying attention to if he had the chance.

But not right now.
Moon Knight was right about one thing in particular - Drake wanted to play this game quiet. While Moon Knight was drawing approximately all of the aggro, Drake went silent using his powers and made his way around the side of the motel. The structure of the place gave it entirely too many points of entry, with none of them connecting. On the other hand, that meant that it didn't matter how thin the walls were - there was only at most a window between the outside and the people inside. Drake crouched behind a building and let out a few subsonic clicks, and focused his sonokinesis on echolocation. After a few seconds, he had a mental map of the bodies in each of the rooms... no fine details, but he was betting that the larger figures were the bad guys.

He turned his silence back on and made his way up a drain pipe, before taking out his baton and levering open a bathroom window on the second floor, to a suite that only had one crook inside. The thug inside was so focused on the door and the commotion outside that he never heard him coming. Not until a baton slammed into the side of his head, the silence breaking to allow Drake's weapon to echo out a sonic pulse that scrambled the man's inner ear, turning him off like a light with a relative minimum of pain. The two girls in the room let out a scream, but only for half a second before silence again filled the room. Drake simply gave them a 'shh' gesture, before hurrying back out the way he came and moving on to the next room.

27 to go.
Though this was a race that Drake was not likely to win. He was used to his party members having relatively defined party roles that he could work with. And here was Moon Knight, managing to pull off "DPS" just as easily as "Tank".
